Our Valley Yarns Valley Superwash is made from 100% extra fine Merino wool, and it's machine-washable in cold water with a mild detergent or Eucalan. This worsted weight yarn is incredibly soft, a great choice for everything from afghans to baby projects, and comes in a wide range of fabulous colors, including shades specially chosen by author, designer, instructor and D.I.Y. broadcast personality Vickie Howell!

Knots where yarn is joined in skeins and yarn splits or untwists.
I knitted the Paintbox yarn into a chemo cap for a young man who has lost his hair. The wool is soft and not itchy, and the superwash ability is fantastic for being able to sterilize the item (I used peroxide, then white vinegar). The yarn didn't split while knitting up. It was shipped and delivered quickly so I didn't have to wait to knit.
This yarn was very soft and easy to work with. I certainly will consider purchasing more for future projects.

A nice soft yarn to work with just finer than I need for this project. I wanted worsted, but this was more like dk. Not the fault of the yarn, of course.
