Valley Yarns 5/2 Bamboo

Valley Yarns 5/2 Bamboo is a fantastic part of our weaving line! This 5/2 yarn has a palette of deep, rich colors with the unique shine and drape of rayon from bamboo. You can feel good about the sustainability of bamboo, and enjoy the look and feel of projects woven in this elegant fiber. Although this yarn has the same yards per pound as 5/2 Cotton, 5/2 Bamboo behaves a little differently due to the nature of the fiber itself. Valley Yarns 5/2 Bamboo is spun and dyed in the United States.

Note: This yarn is sold in whole cones. Wind-offs are not available for this yarn. On average, cones weigh ~1lb but vary and can range between 0.8lbs to 1.3lbs. If you need a minimum weight on the cone, please include that request in the special comments box during the checkout process. We will do our best to accommodate but cannot guarantee specific cone weights.

Sett notes: Tabby, or plain weave, should be 16-18 epi in most cases while 18-20 epi is right for twill.  

Care notes: On the first washing of dark colors or bright colors use a color catcher or dye magnet in the water.
