Lovely rustic tweed yarn. Colorful neps look as I expected from picture on website. Order came quickly.
good quality yarn, easy to work with,
This is a wonderful tweedy rustic yarn - rustic meaning that it may have some roughness and some vegetal matter spun in. It does not bother me but it's a thing to consider before purchase - also I've will wash sweaters made with Tahki Donegal tweed in a front loading machine with the wool cycle (gentlest cycle as well as cold), which so far has softened the sweaters slightly without felting. I've yet to meet a woolly yarn that makes me itch (lucky perhaps!) so I keep returning for more Tahki Donegal tweed with its great color selection and wonderful "tweediness". I'm currently planning to make Halloween decorations (cabled pumpkins) with the latest purchase, but as noted have a very happy history with sweaters made from this yarn. Knit to the recommended gauge, it will show cable work very well in addition to resulting in a very hardy, tough-wearing garment. Knit to a lighter gauge (meaning fewer stitches per width, so using a slightly larger needle) it will result in a nice indoor garment.
Lovely product
Been one of my favorite yarns years!
Too many loose ends per skein
I wanted to try a best that you stick the neck and arm holes and needed this type of yarn. It has worked well.
The same Tahki Donegal Tweed I made sweaters with 30 years ago - sweaters that are still holding up. I love this yarn!
Just the right yarn for my project.
This yarn is a nice choice for a dense cardigan. I used it for the step by step cardigan pattern. Was looking for a cardigan that could be worn on a fall night. This yarn was perfect, some say is a little itchy but I did not find this to be the case after blocking.
